Pregnant Ashley James Hits Back At Criticism Of Her Baby apos;s New Room
She's been keeping her fans updated on her pregnancy in recent months, as she prepares to welcome her first child with her boyfriend, Tom Andrews.
But on Thursday, Ashley James, 33, was forced to defend some of her parenting decisions before her bundle of joy has even arrived, after she was criticised for her decision not to place a cot in her child's newly decorated room.
The former Made In Chelsea star took to Instagram to share footage of the revamped box room, while giving fans an peek at everything from the bed to wardrobes.

Ashley James is soon expecting her first baby, and it seems like she's very much prepared for the impending arrival.

However, one Instagram user called some of her decision making into question when they wrote: 'Don't quite understand the lack of a cot. Maybe I'm old fashioned.'
Explaining her reasoning, the celebrity DJ responded: [T]he cot is in our room, given that's where he'll be for the first few months. Is that ok with you?'

Ashley responded by sharing that she now stops and 'takes some deep breaths' in the face of potential conflict.

'I wanted to keep the room very neutral, with a nod to nature and our love of adventure and travel. I love the wallpaper because it's got specks of gold in it so helps to make the room look bigger, but it also reminds me of giraffe spots.
'We had to choose between a cot and a double bed because of the size, and decided we wanted a proper bed for our families to be able to come and stay.

Sharing footage of herself relaxing in her bath while rubbing her bare baby bump, she wrote: 'I couldn't sleep in the night because of my hips and pelvic pain, so I came to nap in the bath with candles, bath bubbles, and relaxing music.'
'Also ate a massive bowl of porridge,' she continued, before explaining that her pet cat brought the relaxation to an abrupt end: 'Was all going so well and I was drifting off, and then Lady came to use the litter tray and totally killed the Zen vibes.'

Earlier this week, Ashley glowed as she posed in black lingerie and spoke candidly about her stretch marks in a post on her Instagram account.
The TV personality said that the question she thinks she'd been most asked throughout her pregnancy is what products she uses to stop stretch marks.
Ashley shared a close up photo of her hip and said that she didn't point her stretch marks out 'because I don't want to focus on any part of my body or your body as a flaw'.
She said that she 'loves them because they show how my body adapted to grow my son'.

'Firstly, there is no magic potion for stretch marks. The beauty industry literally profits off making us believe there is something 'wrong' with stretch marks (and other perfectly normal things, like cellulite).
So whilst I have been keeping my body well moisturised, I haven't bought in to any 'magic' potions because they just don't exist.

No part of our body is a flaw. But I have them and I just wanted to share that, and I love them because they show how my body adapted to grow my son.
'Stretch marks super common and very normal. I saw somewhere that 8/10 pregnant women get stretch marks.
Obviously some of us get them worse than others, and sometimes they come up in different colours depending on our genetics and skin tones, but they're very normal.

Ashley candidly revealed on her Instagram stories that she thought she was going into labour on Wednesday night - but it was a false alarm.
The reality star described it as feeling like someone was 'punching my vagina from the inside' and was convinced that she was about to give birth to her baby boy.
She jokingly explained that she decided to go to bed very early as she thought 'if I am going to give birth I want to be well rested'.
An exhausted Ashley appeared on camera in just a nude maternity bra and underwear as she assured fans that it was a false alarm and that she is still waiting for her baby boy.
The mother-to-be opted to go make-up free for the candid video, which saw her taking a minute to relax and let her damp golden tresses dry off after showering.
Ashley told her 279,000 Instagram followers: 'Morning guys, oh my gosh I am so tired today. I like got up, got ready, tried to do some work and now I am just lying in the baby's room.
'I actually thought I might be going into labour last night. I could like feel - it almost felt like someone punching my vagina from like inside.
That sounds really weird, so I was like 'is this it?'. So I went to bed really early cos I was like 'oh my god, if I am going to give birth I want to be well rested'.
'Um but it wasn't, false alarm. But I am exactly a month away now, so I am definitely starting to feel it.'
