When Nissan hit the scene in 2009, its power train came from a twin-turbo 3.8litre V-6 mated with a six speed dual clutch gearbox. This sent power to all four wheels by using Nissan's all electric ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system. This V6 engine produced 480bhp and 434 lb-ft of torque. It gave 16mpg in the city and 21mpg on the motorway.

Suspension dampers When you replace the whole unit like in a Quick Strut, you get a new strut, spring and hat assembly with a new bearing. This brings the handling of your car back to like new condition and restores the ride to how it once was.

Thus an instrument panel will show a multitude of illuminated warning lights, the secondary ones effectively telling a driver only that these systems are shut off. A bad case of Multiple Light Syndrome, and, for the average driver, a potentially frightening time indeed.

columbia mazda As the cover is composed of three layers, it is sturdy enough to prevent the car from getting knocked about. The cover will be able to absorb the shock and impact of knocks and bangs, without an impression being made on the car.

It can pretty much go without saying that the past few generations of Corvettes have had somewhat lackluster interiors. As a matter of fact, they were downright cheesy. Thankfully not anymore. The designers were given a blank slate to change all that. The new interior is a very driver oriented spaces full of Napa leather with fine stitching, carbon fiber, micro-suede, real aluminum trim (not that painted plastic crap) and is fully-wrapped in soft surfaces. So much better. As a matter of fact, according the GM, the new interior tested better in focus groups than that of the Audi R8 and Porsche 911.

The issue is that when you run, you apply a force that can be as high as 8 times your body-weight. This force then gets back to you through your foot, ankle, knee and hips. Not differently than a car, your body has natural suspensions to help you absorb the shock. The basis of this natural suspension system is a process called pronation.

The rain contains high levels of acid that will cause the paint-work and finish of any car disintegrate. The paint will be left peeling, and the exterior looking very patchy. This is aside from the numerous water-marks that are left over the exterior, and a rust that begins to settle on the body-work. All of this would need extensive cleaning and repairs just to return your car to a respectable state, as it was previously.

The part of the power train that older car owners need to concern themselves with the most are the CV joints or drive axle boots. If you look under vehicle near the wheels, you'll see a rubber cover by the axle; this is the CV "boot", and it protects the CV joint which has a compaction of grease lubricating bearings and moving parts that encompass the connection between the drive shaft and the wheel axles. CV stands for "constant velocity", an important component for transferring power from the engine to the wheels.

car shocks absorbers But people don't always think about the need to replace their tires; even though tires have the greatest impact on your vehicle's safety level. Worn treads can easily contribute to traffic accidents, particularly in poor driving conditions.

Many vehicle manufacturers engrave the Vehicle Identification Number into the front or rear windscreen. The VIN is a unique serial number used by the automotive industry to identify individual motor vehicles. Check that it is the original engraving and that is in mint condition. Damage or erasure is a sign that the vehicle may be stolen. On the registration papers is stated where the VIN number is stamped in the frame. Check if it corresponds.
