The suspension interacts with the steering system to provide you with vehicle control. The suspension absorbs energy from bumps in the road to keep the vehicle stable and under control. Shocks, struts, and springs compress and release hundreds of thousands of times over the years of the vehicle's life. This causes them to weaken. I recommend you keep a log of your maintenance. It will help you do it regularly and that will prolong the life of your car. And it also looks good when it comes time to sell the car.
