Your going to start by removing all of the interior paneling and seats, down to the point where the car is pretty much bare inside. Next, you will need to climb under your car and remove the drive line and any brake fluid lines that are running up the under carriage.
As the parts came off, I would use a paint pen like a wrecking yard, so I didn't lose the identity. Next, I would clean each part, and lay it out on one of many big tables, ready to photograph.
While your vehicle can in time bring some issues, many of those issues can easily have been avoided through proper check up. When rehabbing, of course, keep all your receipts for tax and file purposes. For the big stuff, take back what you don't need and get a store credit or get your cash back when you're done. You're bound to have tons of miscellaneous leftovers like nails, screws, bags of sand, concrete mix, tubes of spackling, a pallet or two of roofing shingles, tile pieces, felt, sheetrock, mud, tape, etc. Just find a nifty corner in your garage or basement for this stuff. If you're in this business for the long haul, you'll use it again.

But there is more to an auto part than just the part itself. The make and model and year of your car will have a great impact on how much the part will cost to replace and how easy the part is to get.
People, usually, have an opinion that these second hand parts are of very poor quality. They think that the only place where they could hunt for them is a nearby junkyard. This is, however, not the truth. In fact, there are many reliable and reputed places where you could find used auto parts that are as good as new ones. What's more, you get them at incredibly low prices. This, however, doesn't mean that they're of inferior quality.
But, you should know that used parts are less than 50% the price of their newer counterparts. Take for instance you want to buy a wheel cover - buying a completely new one would be unthinkable for most of us - It's totally out of our budget! However, you could get the same quality and even better designs for cheaper rates when you shop at a used parts store.
