Paralympic great Madison de Rozario has won the top individual honour at the Australian women in sport awards.
She was named the athlete of the year ahead of Australian Open champion Ash Barty, swimmer Emma McKeon, canoeist Jess Fox, footballer Sam Kerr and crossfit athlete Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr.
After winning two gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics, incitasecurity.com de Rozario became the first Australian to win the New York marathon in any category last November.
At the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, de Rozario won the T54 1500m and marathon events to become the first Australian para-athlete to take out four Games gold medals.
Barty's Australian Open win in January was honoured as the stand-out moment, while basketball great was inducted into the awards' hall of fame.
The all-conquering Australian women's cricketers were named the champion team for the third-successive time at the awards, which were held on Sunday night in Sydney for the first time since 2019.
Retired Paralympic swimming star Ellie Cole was recognised by the federal government as the most outstanding woman in sport.
Two key AFLW figures were recognised at the awards.

League general manager Nicole Livingstone was named the person of sporting influence and Collingwood player Chloe Dalton was honoured as the leadership legend for her advocacy of women's sport and Paralympians.
Other awards included young Matildas star Mary Fowler as the one to watch and swimmer Kaylee McKeown as the young achiever, while basketball referee Jacquie Dover was honoured as the local sporting champion.
