Junk yard jewels. I have a buddy who likes to go to the junk yard to find replacement parts for his vehicles. He doesn't always find what he wants, but he has been able to pull several starters off from some of the junkers. Some work, some don't while others may work for awhile and then crap out a few months later. If you have plenty of time and luck is on your side then this can be an option for you.

Yamaha OEM parts and Yamaha ATV parts are abundant on the web. Many of these sites claim they can save you a fortune but that is questionable. When I went looking on these sites seem to claim to contradict one another. One site claims they can save you 20% and another site claims that they can save you 70% off. When you put one site up against another its hard to see who really has the greatest price if any of them? At first glance this may appear to be a bunch of BS. Maybe none of these sites really offer you the best deal. Who can tell?
So if you need a spare part and can't seem to find one in your local auto part store, then you would do yourself a favor to check a junk yard where you can get salvage parts. You may have to search several junkyards but it sure beats having to order a spare part from a manufacturer as well as make financial sense.
It goes without saying that if there is a problem in your auto parts, even one that you are not positive is there, but you just suspect; you bring it in to get checked. It is not worth the risk. These slight problems can grow. If you smell something in your engine, especially a smoky smell; these are warning signs. If your brakes are squealing, that is also a reason to take your car to be checked. Brakes are a very delicate auto part, and must be taken extreme care of. It is beyond dangerous for someone to have brakes that are not working. As soon as it seems like they are not at their best, you need to get them looked at.
Unless the buyer is very reputable, make sure you only buy parts which have photos of the actual part on the advertisement. That way you know what to expect when you receive them.
The next step is to find a repair shop to fix your car. What you will want to do is find a place that will use the car parts you want used in the repair of your car. This is an important step, because some repair shops will use after market parts automatically, but you have to stipulate if you want them to use OEM parts. Unfortunately, it isn't unheard of for shops to use after market parts while still charging you OEM prices, which if you didn't know are more expensive.
The increasing interest in kit cars created the requirement of road safety regulations regarding the use of such vehicles on roads. You need to pass vehicle safety tests before you can drive your car on the road. Apart from a legal requirement, safety is your priority too.
