Contact local salvage yards. Most any clunker whether it is running or not is worth something. If your car is still running, then it is worth more than one that is not. Search online for local salvage yards and make contact. Get a price for your car and learn how much it will cost you to have it towed or driven away.
Before you can choose one of these options, you need to sort through your accumulated collection and determine what you have. Do you have items that are still useable and that others may buy? Are all your items old and broken down - perhaps things you never got around to fixing? These are probably candidates for throwing away. Do you have items made of wood, aluminum, or other recyclable material? Find some boxes and label them "Recyclable," "Throw Away," and "Sell." Then tackle to task of sorting through your stuff one room at a time.
When it comes to these vital parts, you'll want to go new. You can go just about anywhere for them, but the most accessible place to check is online. You may not be able to tell what exactly you're getting until it shows up, but you can find just about anything. On top of that, most sites will deliver the part straight to your house, or at least to your local mechanic.
The appreciation value alone can make it worth switching parts. When you have an exhaust pipe with stuck on residue, are you going to leave it like that? Yes, you could take a week and use harmful chemicals to get that stuck on grim off. Not even just with the exhaust pipe. Every other aspect that you find could be fixed could benefit you the most to do so. Changing the parts of your motorcycle when they are damaged can provide many great advantages.
Many places stock used motorcycle parts and are happy to get rid of them when the opportunity arises. Saving money can be done by purchasing used motorcycle parts through a junk yard. Junk yard's contain many damaged vehicles that have parts in them that may still be in mint condition. Even better, prices you find at a four lane auto salvage can sometimes bring percentage cuts as big as eighty percent! Looking at junk yard parts in the first place can save you so much money in the long run when preparing your damaged motorcycle.

Even though they lose the profit they would have made on the parts, they will generally have fewer headaches when it comes to getting such parts for their customers. A few mechanics have even gone as far as just charging more for the labor.
